    Top 5 Laziest Dog Breeds

When most people think of dogs, they think about cheerful, bouncing bundles of fur. There are several breeds of dogs out there, and numerous of them do require a good amount of exercise.

They need a large backyard to run around in all day so that they can use up all that pent-up energy. Though, there are various other breeds that are on the reverse end of the spectrum. If you do not have enough time or energy to play with your pet for several hours a day, then there are specific breeds perfect for your life-style.

Here are several dog breeds that prefer napping over running.

    1. Chow Chow - They often tend to be rather aloof, but their independent nature means it will not mind when you leave for work in the morning. They can get over 70 pounds in weight, but they make good cuddle mates.

    2. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Bred primarily as a lapdog and partner, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel excels at its original job. The breed is gentle, caring and would much prefer to be inside next to you than doing any sort of vigorous activity.

    3. Basset Hound - They are very lazy canines that are soft and affectionate towards their loved ones. Although they require little bit of exercise, potential owners should be prepared for a lot of drool.

    4. Shih Tzu - Shih Tzus often tend to not be especially keen on going outdoors. Many times, they will get lots of exercise simply walking the apartment all day.

    5. Boston Terrier - Their weight often maxes out at 25 pounds, so even if you are limited to a studio apartment, this pooch will not mind. Boston Terriers are quite less active. One walk a day is all you need to ensure these dogs get a good workout.

Dingo Information

The 'dingo" (Canis dingo) is a wild canine found in Australia. Its exact ancestry is unknown, but dingoes are classified as their own unique canine species. The dingo is the largest terrestrial predator in Australia, and plays an important role as an apex predator. However, the dingo is seen as a pest by livestock farmers due to attacks on animals. Conversely, their predation on rabbits, kangaroos and rats may be of benefit to graziers.

The Dingo has intense eyes that vary in color from yellow to orange. The very mobile, small, rounded ears are naturally erect. The well furred, appearing bushy, tail is relaxed and has good length. The hindquarters are lean and muscular. The coat is soft. Its length, density, and texture vary according to climate. Typical coat colors are yellow-ginger, but can occur in tan, black or white, including an occasional brindle; albinos have also been seen. All purebred Dingoes have white hair on their feet and tail tip. Unlike most other breeds, Dingoes do not have dewclaws.
