    Top 5 Laziest Dog Breeds

When most people think of canines, they think about cheerful, hopping bundles of fur. There are several breeds of dogs out there, and various of them do need a great amount of physical activity.

They need a large backyard to run around in all day so that they can exhaust all that pent-up energy. Although, there are various other breeds that are on the opposite end of the spectrum. If you do not have the time or energy to play with your pet for several hours a day, then there are particular breeds perfect for your lifestyle.

Here are several dog breeds that prefer napping over running.

    1. Chow Chow - They have a tendency to be relatively aloof, but their independent nature means it will not mind when you commit for work in the morning. They can get over 70 pounds in weight, but they make good cuddle partners.

    2. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Bred primarily as a lapdog and companion, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel shines at its original job. The breed is soft, caring and would much prefer to be inside next to you than doing any sort of vigorous activity.

    3. Basset Hound - They are very lazy canines that are soft and caring towards their families. Although they require small exercise, potential owners should be prepared for a lot of drool.

    4. Shih Tzu - Shih Tzus often tend to not be especially keen on going outdoors. Many times, they will get lots of exercise simply walking around the apartment all day.

    5. Boston Terrier - Their weight often maxes out at 25 pounds, so even if you are limited to a studio apartment, this pooch will not mind. Boston Terriers are relatively non-active. One walk a day is all you need to make sure these dogs get a good workout.

Karelian Bear Dog Information

The Karelian Bear Dog is a medium-sized, sturdily-built, Spitz-type dog, with a triangular-shaped head, prick ears, and a harsh, straight, black or black and white coat that is of medium length. The length of body, from point of buttocks to point of sternum, is just slightly longer than the height, measured at the withers. Slightly longer coat on the thighs may make the length of body appear greater. The tail is carried in a loose curl over the back, although a natural bob or stub tail is acceptable. Honorable scars or other evidences of injury resulting from working in the field are not to be penalized.

The Karelian Bear Dog has a reserved but stable temperament and is very devoted to its master. Karelians have strong hunting instincts. They are normally aggressive with other dogs, particularly in their own territory, so they do not work well in a pack. They are fearless and self confident, and will attack bear and other large game without hesitation. Their senses, particularly the sense of smell, are very keen. They are never aggressive towards people.
