How To Find a Dog With a Good Temperament

Picking a dog can be both perplexing and exciting. But the one thing we all want to know is how our new dog's character will reveal itself.

Recognizing why a breed was developed, and the country and climate it originally came from, can help you understand what to expect in terms of behaviour and temperament.

Some breeds require much more attention than others. A breed's true temperament can also take time to develop: the boxer's spirited and extrovert nature means it takes longer to mature than other breeds.

The puppies of specific breeds could be very hard work in the early weeks but can make amazing adult dogs.

There are seven types of dogs:
    • Gun dog
    • Toy dog
    • Utility Dog
    • Hound dog
    • Terrier
    • Working dog
    • Pastoral

Taco Terrier Information

The Taco Terrier is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Chihuahua and the Toy Fox Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
