    Top 5 Laziest Dog Breeds

When most people think of pet dogs, they think of cheerful, hopping bundles of fur. There are numerous breeds of dogs out there, and countless of them do need a good amount of physical activity.

They need a big backyard to run all around in all day so that they can exhaust all that pent-up energy. Although, there are other breeds that are on the opposite end of the spectrum. If you do not have the time or energy to play with your doggie for several hours a day, then there are certain breeds ideal for your life-style.

Here are a few dog breeds that prefer napping over running.

    1. Chow Chow - They usually tend to be relatively aloof, but their independent nature means it will not mind when you leave for work in the morning. They can get over 70 pounds in weight, but they make good snuggle mates.

    2. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Bred predominantly as a lapdog and friend, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel shines at its original job. The breed is gentle, caring and would much rather be inside next to you than doing any sort of vigorous activity.

    3. Basset Hound - They are very lazy pet dogs that are gentle and passionate towards their loved ones. Although they require little bit of exercise, potential owners should be prepared for a lot of drool.

    4. Shih Tzu - Shih Tzus often tend to not be specifically fond of going outdoors. Many times, they will get lots of exercise simply walking around the apartment all day.

    5. Boston Terrier - Their weight typically maxes out at 25 pounds, so even if you are constrained to a studio apartment, this pooch will not mind. Boston Terriers are quite non-active. One walk a day is all you need to ensure these dogs get a good workout.

Kromfohrlander Information

The Kromfohrländer comes in 2 coat variations: wirehaired (Rauhaar) and smooth haired (Glatthaar). The distinction is the presence of a beard on the wirehaired variety and a rather long coat on the smooth haired variety. Therefore the wirehaired resembles a terrier, while the smooth haired looks rather like a spaniel. The color is brown/tan/buff markings on a white background with a blaze on the face 'as symmetrical as possible.'

The Kromfohrländer is a very lively, good-natured, intelligent breed with a comparatively weak hunting instinct, loves to play and run and can adapt to many situations fairly well. Kromfohrländers are very much "people dogs" and they rarely stray very far from their owner. They take to strangers and children rather hesitantly at first, but once they get familiar, they are friends for life.
